There's a woodland theme at this bar and dining room at Sketch, courtesy of Carolyn Quartermaine and Didier Mahieu - the artists behind the design. It serves breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and evening repasts, plus drinks in the evening.
Breakfasts prove popular, with pastries, porridge, granola and fresh juices alongside omelettes, eggs Florentine and a '9 Conduit Street' - a breakfast of tomato concassé, poached eggs, Cumberland sausage, black pudding, portobello mushrooms and bacon powder taking its name from the address.
The main lunch menu focuses on poshed-up comfort food, with dishes including macaroni cheese, steak frites and a very fancy sounding Galician beef and foie gras burger. An impressive selection of patisserie and extravagant afternoon teas do brisk business, too.
