Close to London Bridge, Shad is a contemporary Indian restaurant that casts its culinary net wide. Chef Mr Chowdhury recreates traditional dishes from across the country, 'from the Himalayas to the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea to the Bay of Bengal', with specials including dhaka murgh (chicken stuffed with lamb, with coriander and tomatoes) and khala lamb bhuna (a Punjabi dish), which is slow-cooked lamb with fenugreek, lentils, green peppers and tomatoes.
