This Italian restaurant and bar popped up on Old Compton Street at the end of 2015 with barely a squeak – a rare feat for any new central London venue, let alone one taking up a prime spot in Soho. There's a wine and cocktail bar on the ground floor and a restaurant upstairs.
The focus is on Italy, with a drinks list comprising Italian-influenced cocktails and Italian wines, and a food menu ranging from pizzas, pasta and piattini to a pan-fried mackerel fillet 'burger' in ciabatta with avocado, tomato, baby gem lettuce and aioli, and roasted lamb fillet with sweet and sour caponata and a pine nut houmous.
Bar food also features – think arancini, calamari fritti, bruschetta piccante or polenta al parmigiana. Keep an eye out for special wine and prosecco tasting sessions, some of which are free.
