This Manchester-born barbecue restaurant has pitched up in Shoreditch, and sets itself up as the tongue-in-cheek Second Coming for carnivores. It walks the walk, too, with heroically towering burgers jammed with the likes of steak, pulled pork and thick slices of brisket. Go hungry.
There's certainly plenty to get your teeth into. Options range from housemade beef jerky, pork scratching, rib trims, wings and burnt ends to four different types of ribs, bacon-wrapped jalapenos, tomahawk steaks, meat combos and those big old burgers. And there's little let-up with desserts, either - think chocolate and peanut butter cheesecakes, or pecan and salted caramel peach cobblers.
A short wine list leans toward new world options and 'buckets o' beer' can be filled with Corona, Dixie lager or cans of Pistonhead Full Throttle. It's mostly about the cocktails though, from boozy shakes and a range of bloody marys to a Red's whisky sour (Wild Turkey bourbon, apricot liqueur, fresh lemon juice, almond syrup and peach bitters) and a strawberry daiquiri here made with Havana Club, Giffard fraise, strawberries and lime.
