There's a focus on authenticity at this pizzeria and Italian restaurant on Caledonian Road, close to King's Cross - everything is made fresh in the open kitchen, and pizzas are slid into a proper wood-fire pizza oven. The sauces and dough are made each morning, too.
While the pizzas and calzone prove popular, there's more to this place than margheritas, capricciosas and the Nenno (made with tomato sauce, mozzarella, Sardinian sausage, pecorino, red onion, black olive and garlic). Expect, too, a selection of traditional pasta dishes alongside veal Milanese, octopus salad and grilled king prawns served with fried asparagus. Desserts are kept simple - a panna cotta and a classic tiramisu.
Each of the bottles on a short wine list is available by the glass, and beers are from Ichnusa and Peroni. Cocktails include an Aperol spritz, a bellini, an espresso martini and a cosmopolitan. There's limoncello, too.
