Time Out says

This corner establishment lies just across from rival café Dessert Island, though there are no obvious signs of a Glaswegian-style ice-cream turf war. Motown is rightly proud of its own-made ice cream: brown bread and super-creamy honeycomb are the big hits, but staff are happy to dole out samples for the indecisive. Other flavours include bubble gum and apple crumble. Cakes and Monmouth coffee are also available and there’s a cavernous downstairs seating area. You wouldn’t catch Gladys Knight in here, but loyal locals love it. And there’s another branch at 157 Bethnal Green Road, E2 7DG.
