Time Out says

‘The best steaks in the city,’ the website reckons. With a shopfront hardly bigger than a cow’s backside, it’s no wonder that Moo! talks itself up so forcefully. The grand claims might also be influenced by this bar-restaurant’s Square Mile location, where a little brashness fits right in. Inside, it looks the part; compact and characterful (thanks to chatty staff), the venue does everything you want of a good steakhouse. The decor of brick, wood and leather might almost be used as a visual guide to steak cooking times. The punchy menu offers just three steak cuts (all served with either fries or salad). A handful of other mains include sausages and Italian-inspired breaded steaks. Among the five lomitos (sandwiches) is the bells-and-whistles ‘potro’. Ham, mozzarella, egg and salad snuggling up to Argentinian rump inside a ciabatta should be worthy of multiple exclamation marks, but the steak disappointed a little. The sausage and roasted pepper filling of the restaurant’s ‘famous’ choripán sandwich was much better, and deserved its mouthy tag; empanadas were excellent value.

Moo! also offers breakfast (heavy on the meat and cheese, no fruit in sight), making the most of the City location.
