The name of this popular Lavender Hill pizzeria hints at the south Italian heritage - there's a focus on all things Neapolitan here. The pizzas are made from '00' flour, they're topped with San Marzano tomatoes, and are cooked in an authentic wood-fired pizza oven - apparently built by Neapolitan artisans, no less.
Options range from a simple marinara or margherita to a mimosa (with double cream, sweetcorn, ham and mozzarella), pizza vesuvio (tomato sauce, ricotta cheese, aubergine, mozzarella, ham and fresh basil) and a house special made with wild Neapolitan broccoli, aubergine, mixed sweet peppers, tomato sauce and mozzarella.
Outside of the pizzas options include saltimbocca, salads, focaccia bread with rosemary, garlic and olive oil, bruschetta pomodoro and polpette al sugo di casa mia - homemade meatballs in tomato sauce with parmesan. Desserts, such as tiramisu, torta caprese and girella nutella, keep things traditional.
