Gerhard Jenne caused a stir when he opened this bakery in 1993, selling lavender-flavoured cakes and gingerbread people for grown-ups. Although K&C now has several branches across town (including a swanky café in the Gherkin), we still think the original is amazing after all these years. Seasonal treats are a big thing here (look for the pumpkin pie come Thanksgiving), but don’t miss their legendary brownies, mince pies, toffee apple crumble and velvety whiskey bombs. Or for that matter the best-selling Curly Whirly cake, which tastes every bit as delicious as it looks.
