There’s a lot to like at this wine bar, deli and restaurant in Homerton. It’s from a team that’s passionate about sourcing high-quality produce, combined to create a Med-inspired menu that’s got a few tongues wagging in this part of east London.
It’s easy to see why, with dishes such as gambas pilpil (served with toasted sourdough), authentic tomato bruschetta, and great-looking meat platters alongside ‘nduja gnocchi, pea, fennel and mint risotto, and a burrata salad with basil pesto, tomato, rocket, extra virgin olive oil and toasted pine nuts. All are keenly priced.
The old-world slanted wine list is also impressive, with each bottle available to purchase from the wine shop if you want to take a drop away with you. And if you really like the place? They’ll cater for private events, too.
Make sure you check out the alfresco courtyard (very pretty), and keep an eye out for some excellent events most months, including wine tastings, seasonal menus and all manner of other creative bits and bobs from the clever minds here. Sunday lunches feature in winter, and generous bottomless brunches in the summer, too. A venue for all seasons.
