This Brewer Street Thai is perhaps best known for its mackerel curry. It's their take on a traditional dish from Phuket, with enough chilli heat to bring a glass of milk to tears. It's definitely one best left to the brave.
Outside of that hot little number the menu's a mix of well-known crowd-pleasers (jungle curry, massaman lamb, tom yum kung, green curry) and dishes such as larb gai (north-eastern-style minced chicken salad) drunkhead chicken noodles (a hangover cure, apparently) and the intriguing son-in-law balls – deep-fried boiled eggs with sweet and sour tamarind sauce. Sounds painful.
There's a short wine list, as well as beers from Chang, Singha, Kirin Ichiban and Meantime. Both of the two cocktails on offer are made with MeKhong Thai rum.
