A popular Putney spot, this neighbourhood restaurant and bar keeps locals well fed and watered. The menus are nothing if not accessible, with crowd-pleasing dishes at dinner alongside kids' menus, breakfasts, lunches and Sunday roasts. Expect, too, a solid selection of recognisable craft beers and lagers, plus plenty of wines by the glass, carafe or bottle.
Dishes range from crispy chicken wings, Scotch eggs and duck pancakes to grilled halloumi salads, burgers, sizzling fajitas, Thai green curries and a Moroccan spiced lamb shank in a chickpea and harissa stew. Desserts include sticky toffee pudding, fruit crumble, lemon meringue pie and a carrot cake served with double cream.
As well as wines from the new and old world, and beers such as Peroni, Hells Lager, Sambrook's Wandle and San Miguel, there is a short selection of cocktails. Bloody Marys, mojitos, margaritas and glasses of Pimms are some of those on offer.
