A traditional chippie steeped in history. Happy Days is not only the location of one of the Jack the Ripper murders, but also the site where the notorious killer scrawled a message in chalk. Unfortunately this vital piece of evidence was wiped away by a Victorian bobby before the photographer got there, but you'll still see tour groups stopping off to have a ganders while you're eating your meal. Speaking of which: good ol' fish and chips is their MO here, with cod, halibut, rock salmon, skate, plaice and haddock to choose from. You can also get scampi, calamari, white bait, grilled king prawns, saveloy (of course) and spring rolls, amongst other options.
