Please note, Dindin Kitchen is now closed. Time Out Food editors, JANUARY 2020.
Although it initially resembles a ‘me-too’ sandwich chain with its bright interior and self-service shelves stacked ready for the lunchtime rush, Dindin Kitchen is something unexpected: a Persian takeaway aimed at lunching office workers. Vibrant sour-sweet flavours distinguish Iranian cooking, such as you’ll find in the cardboard cups of piquant pomegranate soup (£3.50), or barberry-studded rice pots (£3.50). The grill behind the counter is kept busy as flatbreads are topped or filled to order. Dindin feels like a cross between a Leon and a Pret, and although the clinical feel doesn’t encourage lingering, it’s well worth a visit to try the colourful salads and fragrant rosewater desserts. It’s not exclusively Persian food that’s championed, though – the calorific ‘crodoughs’ are bought in from Rinkoffs Bakery
