This Charlotte Place Italian - just off Tottenham Court Road and not far from Goodge Street tube - has been open since 1990. Should they wish, diners can follow the classic four-course Italian format, with starters followed by a pasta course, a main and a dessert.
The menu is filled with recognisable Italian options, ranging from Parma ham with melon and calamari fritti to grilled swordfish with virgin olive oil, lemon, fresh oregano and chives, and fegato di vitello con burro e salvia - grilled calf liver with butter and sage. Pasta dishes include home-made ravioli and tortellini alongside traditional lasagnes and black ink cuttlefish spaghetti. Gluten-free options are also available.
The wine list focuses on Italian bottles, though a Sancerre, a Chablis, a Pouilly Fumé, a Châteauneuf du Pape and Champagnes show a French influence, too.
