This Chelsea branch is one of eight Comptoir Libanais in London - there are two outside of town, too. It's the same 'Lebanese canteen' format that has proved such a success for the group, so expect Middle Eastern staples served in a room as colourful as much of the food.
Dishes range from mezze (tabbouleh salads, organic labneh, falafel), wraps and salads to chicken kofta grills, authentic Lebanese flatbreads, various tagines and specials that include moussakhan - a roasted half chicken marinated in pomegranate molasses and cinnamon. Baklawa proves popular, too.
A short wine list features a couple of Lebanese bottles alongside options from Spain, France and Chile. There are Middle Eastern hints to the cocktail list (lots of mint, pomegranate juice and rose syprup), and the fresh rose mint tea - a Lebanese favourite - is served in a traditional silver teapot.
