There’s a lot to love at this high-quality restaurant close to the Tower of London. The menu, from ex-Barrafina chef Thomas Baranski, focuses on Mexican flavours but they’re adventurously fused with Spanish and Peruvian influences. We’ve heard some very good things.
So what’s actually on the menu? Well, think playful tacos and tostadas, sea bass ceviche served with green mango aguachile, prawn and jalapeño croquetas, cactus tempura with chipotle salsa, and carnitas here made with Iberico pork cheek. Each looks exceptional.
Cocktails lean toward mezcal and tequila, with the list showcasing the same kind of adventurous approach as the food menu. Two, the Picante (jalapeno and mint-infused El Rayo Tequila, Melonade, Cointreau and citrus ) and the Hola (Pensador Mezcal, mango, oak smoke, citrus and lemonade), look like particularly excellent choices.
