The original of three Charlotte's venues (there's another around the corner and one in Chiswick), this popular restaurant opposite the south-west corner of Ealing Common has been a fixture here for more than 30 years. It's a founding member of the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
As with the other venues in the group, the focus here is on British food. Expect dishes such as hay-baked leeks with artichoke and fresh chestnut, veal sweetbread and tongue with mushroom chutney and potato mousse, and roasted cod with bone marrow, garlic and parsley. Desserts include a frozen apple crumble with toasted oats and a warm chocolate tart with clotted cream and whisky.
Tasting menus, party menus and menus tailored to dietary requirements also feature.
