An Indian restaurant named after two of the country's mealtime staples – fragrant sweet tea (chai) and a meal made up of a selection of small dishes (thali) – located in a nook of a former furniture warehouse in Camden. Given it's industrial surrounds, the decor suits with exposed pipework, rustic wood-panelled booths and metal chairs.
Chai Thali's aim is to give Indian street food a contemporary twist. For instance, on the menu traditional dishes such as lamb kashmiri and veggie daal sit beside chillied chicken wings and masala potato wedges. All of which you can order as separate small plates or a select few as part of a thali.
The drinks options feature craft beers and spice-infused signature cocktails (chai mojito anyone?) and once a month visitors can enjoy DJ Raj Gandhi's Bollywood 'lounge night'.
