Found just a stone's throw from the River Thames, Café Piazza offers all-day dining in a unique setting, under a huge glass and steel barrel-vaulted roof in the original Hay’s Wharf which was built in 1850. To match such an impressive environment, you've got a sleek European menu with a varied mix of carnivorous dishes, weekend roasts, pizzas and sweet treats, alongside gluten-free and vegan options. Each dish is cooked fresh and daily, with a firm focus on sustainable and organic produce.
Time Out says
We are a family-run restaurant located in a unique setting, inside Hay’s Galleria on the River Thames, between the Shard and Tower Bridge.
Our modern “café by day and wine bar by night”, has a lovely fully covered outdoor terrace under the Hay’s glass and steel barrel-vaulted roof – making it the ideal place to dine alfresco no matter the season or the weather. Our all-day European menu is extensive and includes lots of vegan and gluten-free options, as well as carnivorous dishes, pasta plates and sweet treats. We also have an extensive wine list, which features several vegan and low sulphite bottles, as well as wines and brandies from the owner’s vineyard: Pernarth vineyard in Wales.
There is something on offer for everyone whether that be breakfast or brunch with a cup of fair-trade coffee, a quick bite with a draught beer, Sunday roast or a 3-course meal with wine. Our team is incredibly hospitable and welcoming, and the atmosphere is homey with lots of regulars seated at their preferred table.
Café Piazza is open all-day, from early morning to mid-evening and everything in between, including a mid-morning take-away coffee.
