Café Oporto

The world is put to rights at Oporto, where the pavement tables ring to the sound of animated conversations in Portuguese, and staff are genuinely welcoming and friendly. Lisboa across the road may be more famous, but we prefer Oporto’s crisp layers of pastry with a delicious custard filling – perfectly set and not too sweet. Chicken and cheese rissoles are a deep-fried treat, also not to be missed.
