The aim of this Italian enoteca and restaurant on Portobello Road is to showcase the food and drink of Friuli, in the north east of Italy. There's even further focus, if you want to really get specific, on the Bassa Friulana - an area in the south of Udine.
Dishes range from regional soups and Friulan charcuterie to grape, fennel, apple and carrot salads, roast barbecue ham with horseradish and mustard, strozzapreti al ragu, and potato gnocchi in leek sauce with thin slices of smoked goose breast and smoked ricotta cheese. There are daily specials, too.
Coffee - a blend from Cantarutti Caffè - is a strong point here. It's served alongside an array of wines from Friuli, as well as from well-known Italian wine-making regions such as Piemonte, Marche, Puglia, Venetia and Sardinia.
