If you’re looking for authentic Italian produce meticulously sourced from the homeland, this excellent little deli and store in Pimlico should be right up your strada. The guys running this place really know their stuff, and work closely with Italian producers to showcase the very best of the Italian peninsula. In short, this is the good stuff. The really good stuff.
So what’s available? Well, the charcuterie is worth the visit alone, with guanciale (an excellent Tuscan delicacy made from the pork cheek), regional salame, and Bolognan mortadella with pistachio particular highlights. There’s also exceptional cheeses, Italian honey, fresh pasta, pesto, Sicilian cannoli and homemade cantucci biscuits.
There’s a really solid selection of wines available too, but if you want to know what we really love about this place? It’s as pretty as a picture. Squint and you could be shopping for your lunch in a little Umbrian village. Well, if the sun’s shining and you’re good at daydreams.
