These lucky SE11’s are spared the ‘what’s cool, what’s not’ post code debate, largely ignored as an outer edge of Waterloo. Not only are that but the drinkers here look like they don’t aspire to the latest lifestyle trends and haircut wedges, they’re mighty trendy enough as they are. A maturer, casual but well dressed crowd were enjoying the clay baked pizzas, the first floor roof terrace (albeit with corner views of two busy roads) and the special 2 for 1 cocktails or pizzas (Tuesdays and Thursdays) on our visit. The DJ booth is unintimidating, it looks like someone just forgot to pick it up and take it home one day, with wooden floors to slip and slide on should you so wish. Open until 1am on Thursday, 2am Fri and Sat , which this week has Funkybeats in residence (pulseradio.net) with a lovely small room for hire adjacent to the roof terrace.
