The aim of this Acre Lane restaurant and bar is to bring affordable fine dining to Brixton, with cocktails also a focus. And its name? Well, it's at 160 Acre Lane. Simple as that.
The food menu features dishes such as terrine made with slow-cooked Old Spot pork, cured duckling breast with salted olive croustade and heritage beetroot compôte, peppered prawns with griddled chillies, sugar snap peas and pak choi, and 60-day-aged Hereford beef fillet served with roasted balsamic onion, tomato petals, a soft-poached hen's egg and a herb-butter emulsion.
Cocktails range from mimosas and mojitos to frozen mango daiquiris and a Bar 160 Jamaican Me Crazy – a combo of Koko Kanu and Appleton Estate rums, vanilla syrup, cream and apple juice, served on ice.
