There are some great views at the Hotel Rafayel's in-house restaurant - it's right on the banks of the Thames, just up from Battersea. Floor-to-ceiling windows maximise the gazing opportunities, but the al fresco roof terrace probably proves the plum spot.
There's certainly plenty of variety on the food menu, with the evening a la carte offering dishes ranging from katsu chicken strips, chicken tikka, Cromer crab and Thai-style prawns to fillet mignon, baked honey-glazed whole sea bream and a 'lamb duo' of seared cannon and shoulder of lamb with a red wine jus.
The wine list features a decent selection by the glass, complemented by bottles taking in well known vineyards from worlds old and new. Cocktails comprise well-known classics, including a number of martinis – available in the restaurant or the chic-looking Crystal Bar and Lobby Lounge.
