Time Out says

This brunch spot means business. While many such places focus on traditional breakfasts and lighter bites – which are indeed on the menu here – Bake Street goes for the jugular with a selection of indulgent burgers that’ll get your day off to a delirious start. The slightly stripped back weekday menu offers the likes of their hallowed chicken bun on squashy brioche, while the weekend options run to a heartier selection including their famous smash burger, a generous slab of beef that lounges over the sides of its bread bun with reassuring confidence. A place called Bake Street, too, naturally serves up a sensational selection of sweets. Be aware: it’s outdoor-seating only and there’s usually a fight for tables, so you might have to grab and go.

Order this

The weekend menu includes the birria taco, which comes stuffed with twice-cooked lamb and slices of refreshing radish. You’ll never look at a bowl of breakfast Cornflakes the same way again.

Whip it!

Is ice cream a brunch staple? When the serves are this soft, smooth and surprising (guava and blueberry, anyone?), you know the answer.

RECOMMENDED: Death to taco supremacy? A case for Mexican food beyond the tortilla.
