This Kensal Rise newcomer specialises in meats smoked low and slow over oak and hickory woodchips. One of the guys behind it is DJ Yoda, so expect a killer soundtrack – probably with a scratch or two.
The menu goes big on classic Texan flavours, with pulled pork, USDA brisket, smoked jackfruit and Southern spicy chicken thighs the kind of things to expect on the oak-smoked section. Expect, too, St Louis spare ribs, beef short rib, deep-fried pickles, fried shrimp buns and maple-cured bacon served with pickled watermelon. Desserts include Key lime pies and a peach cobbler.
There's a solid craft beer selection, too. Four feature on draught (including a house brew) alongside bottles and cans from And Union, Wiper & True, Rooster's Brewing Company, The Kernel Brewery and Fourpure. Cocktails, bourbons and root beer are also on offer.
