They keep things pretty simple at this Essex Road eatery. There's a set menu, and diners can choose from either one course, two courses or three, with the mains divided clearly into 'meat', 'fish' and 'veg'.
Examples from the menu include langoustines with lemon parsley, smoked paprika and herbed aioli, wild boar ragut, and a soft-shell crab burger served with caper remoulade and dill cucumber in a brioche bun. Keep an eye out for themed evenings too, where special menus are designed for each occasion.
Weekend brunches prove popular, ranging from poached eggs (from free-range hens or ducks) with smoked mackerel to omelettes, pancakes and French toast with cinnamon sugar.
