National Theatre boss Nicholas Hytner's well-received 1985 production of Handel's opera returns to the Coliseum. English National Opera perform the piece, which won an Olivier Award when it first opened and is now the oldest production in the company's repertoire. The piece centres on a rivalry between two brothers for the love of Romilda. Michael Hofsetter conducts, while mezzo-soprano Alice Coote sings the title role (which was originally sung by a castrato) while counter tenor Andrew Watts is his brother Arsamenes.
