Time Out says

In an uplifting musical celebration of the New Year, the Gabrieli Consort and Players directed by Paul McCreesh present a Winter Wassail, bringing all sorts of lively music from mid-winter festivals, from the medieval to the nineteenth-century, into the open air. Plus, the actor Peter Hamilton Dyer joins the ensemble to give a selection of seasonal readings from Shakespeare, Hardy and Chaucer, to evoke the medieval, Elizabethan and Victorian eras. This family-friendly programme is presented in two concise half-hour acts, giving plenty of room for 'wassailing' over mulled wine and hot food in the break.
