The Pub Tour is part of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment’s
Night Shift initiative, in which a handful of orchestral players bring classical music to new audiences in an informal, rules-free setting.
This year The Night Shift is linking arms with three young composers and setting off on a lap of Britain’s finest watering holes. Funded by fans of the event, The Night Shift Pub Crawl will be stopping in Bristol, Brighton and London for classical music, made with booze in mind.
Three young composers have written string quartets that will be premiered alongside works by Haydn and are designed to arrest a pub’s clientele.
