The final concert in a day of music celebrating the fiftieth birthday of Australian composer Brett Dean. The violinist Jack Liebeck, violist Gary Pomeroy, double bassist Enno Senft, clarinettist Matthew Hunt, horn player Richard Watkins, pianist Piers Lane, the Heath Quartet, percusionist Sam Walton – directed by violist Brett Dean. Schumann's Four Romances (for solo piano); Dean's 'Recollections' (for mixed ensemble); 'Intimate Decisions' (for solo viola); and Brahms's String Quintet in G, Op 111. (Note: at 6pm Brett Dean is in conversation with Tom Service; £3.)
