Prom 47: Britten: War Requiem

In case you hadn’t noticed, WWI kicked off a century ago, so as one of the commemorative Proms concerts we have Benjamin Britten’s striking pacifist oratorio lamenting the succeeding global conflict. Andris Nelsons conducts City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and BBC Proms Youth Choir, with soprano Susan Gritton, tenor Toby Spence and baritone Hanno Müller-Brachmann.
