The percussion festival opens with a night in collaboration with New York's indie-classical label: New Amsterdam.

Music includes: David Lang's 'The Anvil Chorus'; Steve Martland's 'Starry Night'; Tansy Davies's 'Dark Ground'; Dave Maric's 'Run Chime'; David T. Little's 'Speak Softly'; Judd Greenstein's 'We Shall Be Turned' and the premiere of the festival's prize-winning piece for solo percussion.

Performers include: Catherine Ring, Barnaby Archer, Tom Lee, Calie Hough, the Ryedale Players String Quartet (violinists Mark Lee and Edward McCullagh, violist Joe Fisher and cellist Gemma Kost) and Nonclassical DJs.
