Violinist Alda Dizdari takes her audience on a sentimental journey across time and space in an evening of music and fashion. Accompanied by pianist Tom Blach, she plays some of the best-known nostalgic music from the first half of the twentieth century written for the violin and piano. Meanwhile, the audience is the main contributor to creating the ambiance by coming dressed in the fashion of the period.
Dizdari performs a variety of famous and lesser-known works by Sibelius, Enescu, Chausson, Kreisler and Rachmaninov, and will appear in a collection of vintage dresses.
(Note: audience should arrive at 7pm to be photographed in costume and enjoy a reception. There are prizes for the best costumes.)
