The ever-hip London Sinfonietta opens its new season with Fausto Romitelli’s 2003 video opera. The Italian composer’s final work employs projections onto three video screens, a soprano, and an orchestra electronically manipulated like an electric guitar. Romitelli described the piece as: ‘An initiation rite of immersion and a trance of light and sound’.
