In the year of the London Olympic Games, the final concert of the festival celebrates London in song. Walton’s 'A Song for the Lord Mayor’s Table' appears alongside Ronald Corp’s 'Flower of Cities', plus songs by Dring, Finzi, Holst, Ives, Martin Shaw and Betty Roe. The performers are Katie Bray (mezzo-soprano) and Jonathan Sells (baritone), accompanied by pianist William Vann. (For full programme details www.londonenglishsongfestival.org.)
