Crafting his own instruments from natural elements such as arctic birch, granite, sheep bells and even ice, Norwegian percussionist Terje Isungset presents the haunting sounds of the far northern wilderness. He is joined by LSO wind players to perform Nielsen's Wind Quintet, and a sound-and-film installation entitled 'The Idea of North', combining mysterious imagery with Terje's icy soundscape. Performed by Terje Isungset, percussion, Lena Nymark (singer), and the LSO Wind Ensemble. (Part of UBS Soundscapes: Eclectica.)
