Howard, Janácek, Martinu

The Opera company Second Movement presents a concert of Czech and contemporary British music. The Geminiani Quartet plays Janácek's String Quartet No 2; and Martinu's String Quartet No 3. The Chatto Quartet and Second Movement Chorus under Nicholas Chalmers performs Martinu's 'Opening of the Springs' and the mezzo soprano Lindsay Bramley, the Ristov Trio and reciter Gerald Davidson perform Emily Howard's 'Songs from Dickens'.
