A trio of contemporary mini operas from three emerging young composers from London. Staged in Peckham Asylum - an artist-led organisation in an old beautiful chapel - director Ruth Mariner unites a host of visual artists including architects and videographers, to showcase the very different operas. 'Clive', by Ben Ashby and Matthew Lee Knowles is about the incarcerated Clive, mollycoddled by his nurse and bullied by his sister; 'The Leap In the Dark' is set, ambitiously, at the dawn of space and time and is by Nick Morrish Rarity and Arthur Sawbridge; and Ed Scolding and Shaun Gardiner's 'Adrift' looks at a man and woman lost at sea and in the dark. Intriguing stuff.
