From darkness to light with Tchaikovsky

Major works by Beethoven and Tchaikovsky are presented alongside a piece by the London Philharmonic Orchestra's Composer in Residence, Julian Anderson. Vladimir Jurowski conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Anderson's 'The Crazed Moon'; Beethoven's ebullient Violin Concerto featuring soloist Christian Tetzlaff; and Tchaikovsky's heart-on-sleeve Symphony No 4 – the composer's artistic response to Fate.
