The award-winning Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov performs Schubert arr Liszt 'Frühlingsglaube', S558 No 7; 'Die Stadt', S560 No 1; Schubert's Piano Sonata in B flat, D960; Tchaikovsky's Valse sentimentale, Op 51 No 6; 'Echo rustique', Op 72 No 13; 'Tendres reproches', Op 72 No 3; 'Un poco di Chopin', Op 72 No 15; and Chopin's Douze Études, Op 10. (Born in 1991, Daniil Trifonov won medals at three of the most prestigious piano competitions during the 2010/11 season: the Chopin Competition, Warsaw (Bronze Medal); the Arthur Rubinstein Competition, Tel Aviv (First Prize) and the International Tchaikovsky Competition, Moscow (Gold Medal).
