'A Door Must be Kept Open or Shut' is an 1845 one-act play by Alfred De Musset, which is to be performed with specially composed music by harpsichordist and conductor Laurence Cummings. The director is Martin Parr. With actors Katharine Heath and Christopher Staines, and Ana-Maria Rincon (soprano).
The play is a thrilling battle of the sexes between the malicious and magisterial Marquise and the besotted and bewildered Baron as they go head to head on the eternal subject of love and all it's intricacies.
