A celebration of Handel, over 250 years on from his death, courtesy of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, soprano Elin Mannahan-Thomas and director Alison Bury. Handel's Concerti Grossi: in G, Op 6 No 1, and in B flat, Op 6 No 7, widely considered to be Handel's orchestral masterpieces; 'Da tempeste', (from the opera 'Giulio Cesare'); 'Lascia ch'io pianga', ('Rinaldo'); 'Tornami vagheggiar', ('Alcina'); Concerto grosso in B flat, Op 3 No 2; and the motet 'Silete venti' for soprano and orchestra.
