An industrial estate in South Bermondsey might not seem like the most likely place to find one of London’s best clubs. Head to the Orion Business Centre, though, and there, tucked between a hose manufacturer and a property maintenance company, you’ll find Venue MOT. The DIY-run warehouse is unglamorous but does its job incredibly well – namely, putting on killer parties with a great bone-rattling sound system that’ll keep you dancing until its early morning closing time. Expect to hear anything and everything across the spectrum of electronic music and beyond at club nights run by local promoters cutting their teeth and more established alike. Sometimes, the venue attracts big names like Jamie xx and Demdike Stare, but the line-ups here are full of quality, no matter how famous the DJs.
