A slice of nineteenth-century California digs down in Vauxhall this summer as Django Django, the team behind a very popular Whitechapel party that popped-up earlier in the year, pitches up south of the river. Expect a five-course immersive dining experience with a derelict old mine shaft your atmospheric subterranean setting.
The food menu follows the theme, with dishes ranging from crocodile and chicken popcorn roulette and a buttermilk muffin filled with barbecue pork and Monterey Jack cheese, to barbecue short ribs and a cowboy stew of smoked cajun sausage with jambalaya rice balls.
Cocktails include a gold fashioned (Buffalo Trace bourbon, sugar and Angostura bitters), a badlands brew (tequila, apple, agave, lime and prosecco) and a dark shaft (dark rum, creme de cassis, grapefruit and lemon). Craft beers also feature.
Django Bango runs on Friday and Saturday nights from Friday July 1 to Saturday October 1 2016.
