The best reggaeton club nights in London

Party like you’re Pitbull at these unstoppable reggaeton nights

Reggaeton might have been born on the streets of Puerto Rico in the ’90s, but that doesn’t stop it thriving on the London club scene, among other scorchingly great Latin nights. Here’s our pick of the best sweat-soaked parties and undiscovered joints where you can get down till dawn to non-stop, bass-laden, tropical rhythms.

K-Che

Get lit at London’s first VIP Latin club. Literally. Catch your breath at one of the many glowing tables, get wavy like DJ Khaled and treat yourself to bottle service, then hit up the dancefloors surrounded by LED-panelled walls. Friday nights at this venue on the Old Kent Road cater to reggaeton purists in the main room, while Saturdays feature a heady mix in the smaller one. While you’re at it, keep your eyes peeled for special guest DJs and parties popping up at K-Che’s newly opened sister club, Paradise 65 in Vauxhall.

I Love Reggaeton

Loco and loud, I Love Reggaeton is the closest thing you’ll find to a Latin mega-club this side of the pond. Flames blast as go-go dancers hit the stage beside a rotating line-up of international selectors playing pure, 100 percent reggaeton all night. While towering screens project videos from the biggest Latin pop stars, balloons drop and 23 kilos of confetti spray out over the crowd. Taking place monthly at the Electric in Brixton as well as touring across the UK, this is one reggaeton party that fans won’t wanna sleep on. But be warned: tickets sell out quick.

Reggaeton Party

Launched in 2016, Reggaeton Party became the first and only Latin night to be hosted in legendary clubbing institution Fabric. Luckily for us, there are plans for it to fill the Farringdon superclub again very soon. But for those who can’t wait, you can check out the Reggaeton Party monthly at Clapham Grand. With top DJs on the decks, expect to dance till you drop to a mix of the genres heavyweights – from Maluma, Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel and Nicky Jam to old-school queens like Nina Sky.

La Pollera Colora

A stones throw from The Shard might seem an unlikely home for the city’s oldest and most authentic Latin club, but La Pollera is exactly that. Latin-owned and operated, La Pollera has carved a name for itself as an underground gem almost too good to share. Unwind on Thursdays at its reggaeton after-work parties, or kick off the weekend by flexing your skills on the top-spec wooden dancefloor. La Pollera has also been responsible for bringing major reggaeton acts to the capital, including Bad Bunny, Ozuna and Daddy Yankee.

Reggaeton vs RnB

Get ready to sweat at this monthly night hosted by Fire & Lightbox in Vauxhall. Hugely hyped as one of the most raucous parties on the scene, Reggaeton vs RnB stretches out across four rooms to do exactly what the title says. Eight of London’s top DJs spin B2B tracks from both genres until the sun comes up, backed by kaleidoscopic lasers and smoke machines that will have you feeling like J.Lo in ‘Waiting for Tonight’. However, if re-enacting Latin videos from the nineties ain’t your bag, trust that hitting the dancefloor alongside 1,500 up-for-it partygoers will keep you coming back for more.
