The mirror-wrapped Moonlighting is not the swankiest of Soho hangouts with its glaring neon-blue sign outside, but what it lacks in subtlety it makes up for in cheap drinks and club nights at which to drink them four nights a week. It’s particularly popular with urban music fans, who flock to the weekly Saturday Night Lick for R&B, soul, garage, hip hop and bashment rhythms and monthly Friday-nighter Over The Moon, whose similar music policy is a touch more current, adding funky house vibes too. It is renowned, however, for its ever-busy recession session, Cheapskates, which, as the name suggests, offers budget drinks (most are at 90p) and bargain-bin pop, indie and dance guilty pleasures every Wednesday.
