Virtual reality headsets are back, people! Finally. It's part of an intriguing event, organised by Absolut Vodka, that aims to 'explore the future of nightlife'. A bold claim. But there are certainly some interesting elements to the night, including a seriously high-end visual set in the form of LED-strewn wall projections from design studio Marshmallow Laser Feast.
Thanks to said virtual reality headsets, said wall projections will react to DJ sets throughout the night, spun by the talented hands of various ace selectors on the R&S Records roster, including galactic funk dude Space Dimension Controller, house ace Leon Vynehall, kaleidoscopic techno producer Lone and electronica-warper Moiré. Organisers claim that the whole experience will 'transport guests into another dimension, transforming perceptions of nightlife, and raising questions of reality in the digital age.'
Sounds impressive, right? Personally we're just looking forward to putting on a virtual reality headset and pretending we're in 'Tron', with a killer soundtrack supplied by forward-thinking DJs. You'll need to register for tickets at Absolut.com before November 5.
